Why you should take this course

The CMAS Introductory SCUBA Experience Training Programme is an entry-level recreational diver training programme that is commonly referred to as a “resort course”. This training programme aims at providing interested persons with an introductory SCUBA diving experience, to a maximum depth of ten (10) meters under the direct supervision of a CMAS Instructor, whilst using air as a breathing gas, in a safe manner.

How do you get started?

To gain access to the CMAS SCUBA Experience Training Programme you must be at least fourteen (14) years of age, be reasonably comfortable in the water environment and medically fit to participate in the sport of recreational SCUBA diving.

What are the next steps

As the CMAS Introductory SCUBA Experience Training Programme is not intended to lead to a formal recreational

The CMAS One Star Sport Diver Training programme is an entry-level diver training programme which aims at introducing the fundamentals of SCUBA diving to new entrants to the sport of recreational SCUBA diving, which will enable them to undertake no-decompression stop dives, whilst using air as a breathing gas, to a maximum depth of twenty (20) meters in a safe manner.

How do you get started?

To gain access to the CMAS One Star Diver Training Programme you must be at least twelve (12) years of age, be reasonably comfortable in the water environment and medically fit to participate in the sport of recreational SCUBA diving.

What are the next steps?

Upon completion of the CMAS Junior Diver Training Programme you will have sufficient knowledge, skill and experience to dive under the supervision of a CMAS Instructor, CMAS Dive Leader (Divemaster) or one of your parents when properly equipped, provided the diving activities undertaken, the diving conditions and the diving area are similar, equal or better to those in which training was received.

As soon as you turn fourteen (14) years of age you will automatically qualify for a CMAS One Star Diver certification which will enable you to gain access to, amongst others, the CMAS Two Star Diver Training Programme, the CMAS Nitrox Diver Training Programme and the CMAS Night Diver Training Programme.

To gain access to the CMAS Three Star Diver Training Programme you must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, have successfully completed the CMAS Two Star Diver, CMAS Oxygen Administration, CMAS Rescue Diver or an equivalent training programme and be medically fit to participate in the sport of recreational SCUBA diving.
